I was told today that in some areas, gay people have it easier than transpeople. So I decided to do some research that proved my theory that “where transgenderism is legal (changing one’s gender identity) is legal, homosexuality is not.”

This first map is from here, and is a 2017 map showing, in great detail, where homosexuality is legal, protected, illegal and a slew of other information about homosexuality. (Click to see greater detail)

Here is also a compilation of all 72 countries where homosexuality is illegal, and what the punishment is. Even the map above doesn’t quite show where homosexuality is illegal - like Russia, where homosexuality is punishable by jail or even death.

Now, let’s look at a map (from here) that shows where changing your gender identity is legal or illegal.

Now, if you notice, there are many areas where homosexuality is illegal or punishable by death where a change to gender identity is legal.

Conclusion: Most countries accept a change to gender identity rather than homosexuality because changing a gay man’s/lesbians gender identity makes him/her straight. Which isn’t illegal.

Tell me again how transgenderism is oppressed? Tell me again how transgenderism isn’t a form of conversion therapy? Tell me again how in places where homosexuality is illegal and punishable by death somehow being transgendered is more dangerous?

Oh wait….

In a lot of places gay people end up transitioning not because they’re trans, but because it’s either that or be killed for being gay.
