every single post that says its ok to not wear makeup has like nine hundred replies saying “actually some girls LIKE the inescapable, crushing demand that they expend their money, time, and energy concealing and altering their natural features to better mimic an artificial and unattainable standard!!! leg contouring is girl power”

it’s okay you can just say you’re bad at putting on makeup

its ok babe you can say you never learned to identify misogyny and have zero empathy for gender nonconforming women

There’s rlly no need to be defensive bc honestly the angry women are not as angry with you so much as we are with those who have made you believe you have to use makeup and compulsory femininity as a straw-man shield to hold against other women, who are just raging against the very same things that cause you so much discomfort w regard to your own bare face. Ok rant over

  19. cyphonism said: Everybody going off in these notes but I just wanna say there was a time in my life where I was very ashamed to be seen by anyone but my mother without at least medium coverage and eye makeup. I still wear makeup probably half the time that I leave the house, and I still feel a little less cool when I go out with nothing on, but I‘ve made so much progress and I guarantee you it is liberating. I can look at my bare face and see value.
